SOP Technical Writer - Temporary to Hire Status

The SOP Technical Writer will primarily focus on technical writing and documentation activities supporting cGMP compliance for a GSMS pharmaceutical manufacturing operation.
The SOP Technical Writer puts technical information into understandable language.
The SOP Technical Writer must be able to obtain information in a timely manner, manage document changes from many sources, prioritize work to meet tight timeframes, and build consensus with multiple reviewers.
Salary Range:
$35,000/yr.
- $40,000/yr.
General Duties and
Responsibilities:
Adheres to proper cGMP's including good housekeeping, proper protection of product quality and integrity, and personal hygiene.
Reads and understands written instructions and SOPs.
Primary responsibility is to write, review, revise, or proof technical protocols, reports, manuals for documentation of a range of uses, concepts, practices and procedures.
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Writes, reviews, and/or revises standard operating procedures (SOP) in compliance with cGMP requirements.
Uses the change control process for review and approval of SOPs and other documents.
Supports departmental users with authoring protocols, reports and other pertinent documents.

Standard Office equipment and computer.
Physical/Cognitive Requirements:
Minimum of an Associate Degree, Bachelor Degree preferred, in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related disciplines.
Minimum of 3 years in Technical Writing or Completion of Internship (experience in pharmaceuticals preferred).
Expertise with cGMP compliance for the pharmaceutical industry preferred.
Possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, strong oral and written communication skills, and the ability to multi-task and adjust to changing priorities.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel (advanced).
Must be an excellent proofreader.
Must lift, bend, stoop, climb, and pull in the process of filing.
Must sit for 90% of the day.
Advanced writing skills required.
May be required to work longer than the typical 8-hour work day.
