Position Description We're searching for an experienced Sr. Technical Writer to join our team and help create and maintain product documentation for both the hardware and software teams. Your ability to evaluate and analyze complex information and translate that into clear written and visual instructions for the end user will be of paramount importance. As the Sr. Technical Writer you will own creating and updating our hardware and software product manuals, release notes, and how-to guides. You will work closely with our Product Managers, Product Owners, and Hardware Product Management teams to collect technical specifications and other pertinent information about our product to create documentation. What We're Looking For 10 years of experience working in technical writing or marketing writing Proven experience using Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop to create documents and manipulate graphics Proficiency in MS Office Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience working with complex enterprise software and hardware products. Familiarity with the Agile development process is helpful. Experience working with 3rd party translation companies and translated documents Ability to work with multiple groups and track priorities in an ever-evolving environment Strong attention to detail Ability to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences Why We Need You Own the creation of product support documentation (hardware and software) which reflects the ideal customer experience for the user Own the creation of new processes to create a structure for teams working with a Tech Writer Own the structural and organizational improvements to the documentation set Work closely with development teams, Product owners and Product managers to understand the products and the customers who use them Work across multiple departments on document reviews, incorporate feedback, and gather approvals Research, write, proofread, edit, and translate end-user manuals, release notes, guides and online help Research, develop and document technical design specifications Produce electronic documentation in addition to hard copy manuals Maintain a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation Create and analyze documents to maintain continuity of style of content Manage updates and revisions to technical literature Collaborate with other writers and coordinate shared content across the PAR portfolio
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
