Restaurant Assistant General Manager Reatuarant Assistant General Manager : Skills Required : If you are in Restaurant Management with experience but perhaps you feel its time for a move, please read on The Assistant Manager is responsible to support the General Manager in oversight and direction of all aspects of the restaurants operations. In the absence of the General Manager, and Assistant Manager may take full responsibility for the operation of the restaurant. Key responsibility areas include development, training and retention of key Associates, team performance, increased sales and profitability and effective cost controls. Incumbents are responsible to work actively to ensure the restaurant meets established financial and operating performance goals. Primary Responsibilities: :Managing Performance : Support initiatives to build sales, profitability and Guest counts. Maintain effective cost controls in support of these efforts. Ensure that all Associates are aware of and understand cost controls within their span of responsibility. : Support and actively participate in Guest satisfaction programs such as Guest oriented quality, service or cleanliness action plans. :Food Preparation and Production : Ensure that all menu items are made according to recipe and presented in a Famous manner. Utilize food production and inventory tools available to support this responsibility. : Monitor completed food product to ensure taste, temperature and presentation are correct and that items are not over or under produced. Conduct Line Checks and Rib Checks in accordance with established procedure. Ensure Prep Lists are followed. :Guests and Associates : Respond to Guest comments and criticism in a constructive and positive manner. Educate and empower Associates to act in a similar manner. : Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. :Staffing and Building Great Teams : Assist and support staffing the restaurant with Famous Associates who value Guest service and are committed to high standards of performance. : Orient all new hires utilizing Company handbooks and support materials. :Administration and Auditing : Responsible to support the overall restaurant budgeted sales and profit goals. : Responsible for restaurant P and L performance with a focus on assigned areas of direct responsibility. : Supervise the opening and closing of the restaurant when the General Manager is not present or as directed. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
