Thousand Oaks, California The VP of Engineering will:
-Serve as a key member of the management team that sets the companys strategic direction.
-Develop strategic planning for the direction and control of product development activities.
-Formulate long:
term objectives and standards of performance for the department.
-Assure that department achieves objectives and project completion within budget and time frame.
-Be a hands:
on manager recognizing the role of both manager and support resource / mentor.
-Lead and direct engineering staff, where necessary, hires or develops necessary resources to meet commitments.
-Ensure implementation and refinement as required of formal process to support the product development process.
-Ensure that product development is focused on meeting and exceeding the customer requirements.
-Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements -BSEE:
MSEE, MBA desirable.
-10
years of industry engineering experience.
-Minimum of ten (5) years in an engineering management position and 5
years in a senior leadership position.
-Ability to obtain and hold a SECRET or above security clearance.
-Ability to travel up to 25 of the time, or as business needs require.
-Proficient in MS Office products including Excel, PowerPoint and Word and other CRM tools.
-Relevant domain experience in:
SATCOM products, airborne and ground, UAV communications/ISR datalinks for Command and Control (C2) and Situational Awareness (SA); RF and Antenna Systems design, integration and test.
Desirable:
missiles and munitions antennas; electronic Warfare antenna technology (particularly direction:
finding, broad antenna technology knowledge.
-Demonstrated team building and leadership skills.
-Competent in electronic hardware and software design.
-Manage diverse, simultaneous projects of varying complexities.
-Strong relationship management, strategy development, project management, problem solving and change management skills.
