Job Description:
We are currently recruiting for a Sr Maintenance Mechanic for our Santa Paula, Ca facility.
Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the ADA, may include the following.
Other related duties may be assigned.
Primary responsibilities include performing maintenance of mostly moderate to high complexity, but not limited to, installing, repairing, and maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment.
This position is responsible for safely improving manufacturing equipment performance, and when breakdowns occur, efficiently restoring equipment to full functionality.
Position is also responsible for basic environmental compliance activities, including collecting and disposing of hazardous waste, storm drain maintenance and similar activities.
These activities are aimed at assuring the continuous and proper operation of the plant equipment in support of operations.
Duties, Functions and Responsibilites 1.
Diagnoses mechanical and electrical failures or faulty operation of equipment.
Consults drawings and specifications and determines procedure to be used for repairs.
2.
Installs, services, repairs and dismantles all equipment, using hand and power tools:
installs and maintains equipment in optimum condition.
3.
Inspects equipment to determine need for repairs and determines potential failures.
4.
Repairs or replaces worn or broken parts using all hand tools common to the trade.
Resets, tightens, and adjusts parts which have loosened or moved out of adjustment.
5.
Installs or assists in the installation of new equipment.
6.
Checks equipment by sight, sound, or measurements and tests to determine amount of wear, lubrication and broken parts.
8.
Responsible for determining spare parts inventory and working with procurement to ensure requirements are met.
9.
Recommends improvements to improve equipment up:
time, reliability, capabilities, and quality to drive profitability.
10.
May be assigned lower level Maintenance tasks, as required, to support operations.
11.
Performs basic environmental compliance activities.

Must possess in:

lingual in Spanish is highly desirable.
Minimum Qualifications (including Education):
