Fiscal Technician

Serves as the park's primary requisitioner, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and travel coordinator. Performs administrative processes that include review and validation of vendor registration, vendor and customer profiles, universal product, commitment item and accounting classification codes. Reviews all types of requests directly related to fiscal duties herein, including providing guidance as to proper process and forms to be initiated and completed by customer. Works closely with customers to provide guidance and research to resolve matters relating to incomplete documents, pending payments, and outstanding debts. Serves as park's Travel Coordinator, providing guidance to customers ensuring consistency and compliance in application of Federal Travel Regulations throughout a logistically complex park with multiple remote duty locations and significant backcountry travel considerations Reviews all travel documents prepared within the park for completeness, compliance and consistency, Receives travel requests for all out of park travel needs, makes reservations, prepares travel authorizations and vouchers. Coordinates and completes all required cost comparisons, invitational and foreign travel, and permanent change of station transactions. Provides direct administrative support to the office of the Superintendent and Division of Administration serving as timekeeper and travel preparer. To qualify for this position at the GS-06 grade level, you must possess the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
Experience:
At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors performing duties and/or tasks associated with accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger adjustments; preparation or review of purchase requisition packages; travel document preparation; timekeeping; ensuring proper application of policy, compliance with established business processes and procedures, and providing a high level of customer service to a wide variety of customers. Experience:
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You must include months/years, hours per week worked and salary to receive credit for your work and/or volunteer experience. One year of specialized experience is equivalent to 12 months at 40 hours per week. Part-time hours are prorated. You will not receive any credit for experience that does not indicate exact hours per week or is listed as varies.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
